I-Ting Tsai

Ph.D. Student

Can innovations in architectural designs counter the corrosive impact of urbanization on the environment? I-Ting Tsai's quest has brought her from Taiwan to the prestigious M.Arch programs at University College London and Yale. I-Ting is currently a doctoral student at the Center for Ecosystems in Architecture at Yale University. She is focused on applying advanced technology to design and optimizing efficiency and sustainability through computation. Her most recent projects aim to foster a culture of sustainable building practices by creating exemplary designs and systems that tackle the global housing crisis. Overcrowding and extreme climate conditions have lead to increased housing demands and dire energy shortage. I-Ting believes that the integration of design and technology can help humans achieve a more sustainable lifestyle, improve comfort, and save energy.
